How AssistPedia collects, uses, and protects your information—including when you sign in with Google.
Last updated: May 29, 2026
1. Introduction
AssistPedia ("AssistPedia", "we", "us") is operated by AssistPedia. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use assistpedia.com and related services, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
We built AssistPedia for professionals who want tools, practical insights, and focused discussions without unnecessary friction. That same mindset applies here: we collect what we need to run the product, explain it plainly, and do not sell your personal information.
2. Where this policy applies
This policy covers the AssistPedia website, authenticated areas such as your dashboard, community features (including threads), published content on Explore, embedded tools, and optional product integrations you choose to enable (for example Gmail-related features when offered).
Some pages link to third-party sites or embed external tools. Those services have their own privacy policies. When you leave AssistPedia or connect a third-party account, their terms govern that interaction.
3. Information we collect
Account information
If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile details from Google such as your name, email address, and profile picture. We use Firebase Authentication (Google) to verify your identity. We do not receive your Google password.
Content and activity
When you use AssistPedia, we process information you choose to provide or generate on the platform, including posts, comments, thread replies, profile details, uploads, meeting-related data, and creator submissions if you participate in Earn With Us or similar programs.
Usage and device data
- Pages and features you access, including tools and roadmaps you open
- Approximate technical data such as browser type, device type, and IP address
- Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies used to keep you signed in and remember preferences
- Basic analytics that help us understand performance and fix errors
Optional integrations
Certain features—such as email-related tools—may ask for additional Google permissions. We only request scopes required for the feature you enable, and you can disconnect by revoking access in your Google Account settings or by contacting us.
Communications
If you contact us through forms or email, we keep the information you send (such as your name, email, and message) so we can respond and maintain a record of the conversation.
4. How we use information
- Create and secure your account, including Google sign-in through Firebase
- Provide core features: tools, Explore content, threads, dashboard, meetings, and creator workflows
- Personalize your experience where settings or history are relevant
- Operate optional integrations you explicitly connect
- Send service-related messages (for example account or security notices)
- Monitor abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the platform
- Improve reliability, performance, and product decisions using aggregated or de-identified insights where possible
- Comply with law, respond to valid legal requests, and establish or defend legal claims
5. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your location, we rely on one or more of the following: performing our contract with you when you use AssistPedia; legitimate interests such as security, product improvement, and fraud prevention; your consent for optional integrations or marketing where required; and legal obligations.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the situations below:
- Service providers that help us run AssistPedia (hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, email delivery, and infrastructure). These providers may access data only to perform services for us and under contractual safeguards.
- Google/Firebase when you choose Google sign-in or connect Google-powered features, subject to Google's policies.
- Other users or the public when you publish content, post in threads, or otherwise make information visible on the platform.
- Business transfers if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice where required by law.
- Legal and safety purposes when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, protect users, or investigate misuse.
7. Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We may retain certain records after deletion where required for security, dispute resolution, backups, or legal compliance. You can request account deletion by contacting us; some content may remain in anonymized logs or backups for a limited period.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we process, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on production systems. No online service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update some profile details in your dashboard. For other requests, email us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
You can sign out at any time and clear site data in your browser. To disconnect Google sign-in, revoke AssistPedia's access in your Google Account security settings.
10. Children
AssistPedia is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
11. International users
AssistPedia is operated from India and may process information on servers located in India or other countries where our providers operate. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the site or by email where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
